The Real Talk

I'm James, the technical founder of Zabaca. I can code anything, architect systems that scale, and turn complex technical problems into elegant solutions. But I need someone who's brilliant where I'm not.

This isn't a job posting—it's a partnership opportunity. You'll own half the company and half the responsibility of building something that matters.

What I'm Great At

  • Building scalable technical infrastructure
  • Writing clean, maintainable code
  • System architecture and technical strategy
  • Solving complex engineering problems
  • Leading technical teams

Where You Come In

You excel at one or more of these:

  • Sales & Business Development - You can sell ice to Eskimos, but more importantly, you understand how to build sustainable sales processes
  • Product Design - You think in user experiences and can turn complex ideas into intuitive interfaces
  • Product Management - You bridge the gap between what users need and what we build
  • Marketing & Growth - You know how to get the right message to the right people
  • Operations & Strategy - You can build the machine that runs the business

What We're Building

Zabaca is creating the universal business card for the AI age. We're making it dead simple for any business to become AI-accessible. Think of it as the missing link between millions of businesses and the AI agents that want to interact with them.

We've already built the MVP and have early traction. Now we need to scale.

The Deal

  • 50% equity (we'll figure out vesting that makes sense for both of us)
  • Equal say in major decisions
  • Work from anywhere (but we should meet regularly)
  • 20-hour work weeks (quality > quantity)
  • Build a lifestyle business, not a VC treadmill

What I'm Looking For

  • You've built and scaled something before (doesn't have to be huge)
  • You're in it for the long haul, not a quick flip
  • You value work-life balance as much as success
  • You're comfortable with async work and written communication
  • You bring complementary skills and networks

What I'm NOT Looking For

  • Another technical co-founder (I've got that covered)
  • Someone who wants to raise VC money immediately
  • Hustle culture enthusiasts
  • People who think 80-hour weeks = success
